Students Broker Fair Trade Deal

Students from Smith, Hampshire, UMass, and South Dakota State University helped broker a fair-trade deal between a U.S. organic coffee buyer and Oro Verde, a Peruvian coffee-growing cooperative. The students all participated in a class called "Fair Trade and Bio-Cultural Regeneration in the High Amazon," which was taught in the Andean-Amazon region of Peru.
