Students Create Street Theater for Corrie Anniversary

Students with Boston College’s Global Justice Project held a protest at the Israeli Consulate in commemoration of the 2003 death of Rachel Corrie, an American college activist who was crushed to death by an Israeli bulldozer as she attempted to prevent the destruction of Palestinian homes in the Gaza Strip. Students created a guerilla street theatre “reenactment” of a checkpoint, complete with soldiers, Red Cross medical personal, Palestinian civilians, and a “separation wall.” Members of the Pro-Palestinian group Boston to Palestine distributed informational fliers to passers-by.
