Pissed off at the cost of textbooks AND the plight of the hungry? Check it: students at Brandeis have come up with a way to avoid the wallet-deflating textbook buyback while feeding the hungry. Members of the Justice, Service, and Change Thematic Learning Community (that’s a mouthful, right?) are running their own book sale, collecting books to be resold in the campus center a week later (presumably at a lower price than their Barnes & Noble-run campus store). Proceeds from the sale go to the Greater Boston Food Bank, and any unsold books will also go to charity.
