Catholic University of America’s Student Association General Assembly is the latest addition to the growing list of student governments to draft a Student Bill of Rights. SAGA passed the Declaration of a Student Bill of Rights on Tuesday and promised to pursue its enforcement. The CUA Tower reports that the Bill includes, “freedom of academic speech, the right to counsel when appearing before Judicial Affairs, a right to documentation about their case and to face their accuser.” The resolution also called for the Student Code of Conduct to be more clearly defined and for CUA Public Safety to have less enforcement power off campus.
