A Requiem for New Orleans

The University of New Hampshire’s Black Student Union presented the third act of Spike Lee’s documentary When the Levees Broke: A Requiem in Four Acts. The documentary presents the devastation of Hurricane Katrina as made, in some measure, by neglected social structures and systemic poverty. After the movie students discussed some of the problems the movie raised, and identified ways they could get involved in creating change.
