A group of students from the University of Washington are starting a new chapter of the New Life Volunteering Society (NLVS), a growing national and secular nonprofit organization that focuses on helping those in need including the homeless, the hungry, the disabled and underprivileged children. According to the group’s website, the mission statement for NLVS is to serve those in need through community service, education and healthcare, with an ultimate goal of achieving peace, love and happiness among local, regional, national and global communities.
