Anti-Genocide Coalition Holds Conference to Educate

This weekend the University of Texas will host a conference to educate high school and college students about genocide in Darfur, Sudan. One of six such conferences across the country sponsored by the National Student Anti-Genocide Coalition STAND, the conference is aimed at uniting students against genocide. Nearly 80 students from 11 states planned to attend the conference at UT, many of whom are current members of their local STAND chapters. The student support for the anti-genocide movement has been strong since its conception, and student leaders are hopeful that the conferences will build further student support across the nation and the world.
