Arrested Student Will Seek Damages

A Howard University student was arrested last week is planning to sue the Hyattsville City Police Department due to the officers' alleged use of unnecessary force. A witness says she saw police officers beating the student while he was handcuffed and on the floor. The incident is still under investigation to find out whether officers were in violation of county standards.
