The petition asks signatories to agree that Pitt should reduce its carbon emissions to zero and aims to demonstrate campus solidarity to university administration. Group members are working on other campaigns to change existing incandescent light bulbs for energy-efficient lights, a campaign to ensure that lights in campus buildings are turned off at night, and a plan to lobby the university for a bike rental program.
