Carbonated Controversy

According to the organization Killer Coke, Coca-Cola bottling plant managers in Columbia—in cooperation with death squads (yep, death squads)—have been responsible for the murder of at least eight union leaders since 1989. (Columbia is an especially unhealthy place to be a trade unionist, just in case you were thinking of, you know, taking up the job). Coke has also been accused of contaminating and depleting water sources in India. Now UVM's Students for Peace and Global Justice (SFPGJ) have taken up Killer Coke’s baton in the collegiate race to make Coke a socially responsible corporation.
