Nearly one year ago, two medical students from Vanderbilt University
opened the Lwala Community Clinic in Lwala,
Kenya. Since
then, the clinic has provided quality, affordable healthcare to over 12,000
patients. The students are now working to expand the Lwala project by providing
educational programs and clean drinking water to the Lwala community.
Vanderbilt Students for Kenya
alliance, a student group on campus, are hoping to raise $50,000 – the yearly
cost of running the Lwala clinic – in the next year to support the program.
