In honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month, Students across the
country are participating in The Clothesline Project, an initiative to address
the issue of domestic violence on campus. The project provides a voice to women
affected by violence through decorated T-shirts. The shirts are displayed on
campus in the form of a clothesline in an effort to spark discussion and raise
awareness about the prevalence of sexual violence against women. On some
campuses T-shirts are gathered from local women’s shelters and from students
themselves.
