On the same day that congress was passing textbook reforms as part of the College Opportunity and Affordability Act, students in Colorado rallied for similar legislation on the state level. The Associated Students of Colorado, a statewide student government association, hosted a rally before the bill they were sponsoring was introduced to the Senate Education Committee. After hearing testimony from a handful of students from across the state in a committee room overflowing with students, the bill passed out of committee with a unanimous vote.
