Cutting Back Smoking on Campus
Date: 11/17/2008 05:28 pm
Schools across the country have been trying to cut back on the smoking of cigarettes on their campuses. Some schools have put bans on smoking both in dorms as well as outside on campus property. For Georgetown University, the switch to a smoke-free campus is moving very slowly. Although Georgetown banned smoking in dorms, the likelihood of a full ban on campus, seems to be unlikely. Other schools have asked students’ opinions as well. For students at Minnesota State University, the all out ban seems unnecessary. It is still in the hands of the administration to approve.
