Campuses across the country raised money for Dance Marathon, a national campaign aimed at raising funds for local charities, particularly children’s funds. While some campuses stuck to more traditional Dance Marathon celebration, holding an all-night dance event like the University of Georgia, others raised funds without dancing. Penn State students competed in the first ever Charity 8-Ball Tournament, courtesy of the Penn State Billiard Club; A local Tufts restaurant hosted a Breakfast for Dinner event, featuring an all-you-can-eat Mediterranean buffet, free coffee and selections from the breakfast menu; and Saint Mary's College hosted Charity Denim, a California-based company that sells discounted designer jeans, normally sold for betwen $70 and $200, to raise money.
