Economic Woes Affect Education

The recent state of the country’s economy is hurting college students. Some students are scrambling to look for student loans and other means of financial aid as major student lending institutions like Sallie Mae sink along with the rest of the economy. Others simply decide to transfer to more affordable colleges and universities or dropout and start looking for jobs. The number of students applying for financial aid has dramatically increased.
