The College Republicans of Washington State University held a pamphleting event to promote English as the nation’s official language, citing efficiency and unity as benefits. Members of the group denied the frequent accusation that supporting English as the sole official language is in effect promoting white, English-speaking people. This was the first public event for WSU’s College Republicans since a controversial fall.
