On April 1st thousands of Facebook users around the world will protest the site’s use of applications. Protestors plan to inundate Facebook’s offices with phone calls to speak out, as many applications ask users to invite more friends to join, and some individuals have had enough. The group, entitled "Official Facebook Petition: To ban the inviting of friends on applications" numbers over 900,000 members and demands that Facebook allow users to block applications entirely.
