While there has undeniably been a great deal of progress in women’s educational equality, women are still underrepresented in certain academic fields. This article from the University of Iowa explores women in the field of engineering. Nationally, women make up only about 20 percent of the recipients of engineering degrees—a figure that’s reflected in the University of Iowa’s programs.
