FEMA Asks Students For Katrina Aid Back

Students who lived in New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina are being asked to give back the money the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) gave them. About 100 students are affected by the decision. FEMA is arguing that damaged student housing does not meet the definition of primary residence. Students are appealing, saying that dorms are in fact primary residences, given that students reside there nine or ten months of the year. Appeals, so far, have largely been denied.
