Feminist Group Raises Global Gag Rule Awareness

The Feminist Majority Leadership Alliance, a UCLA student organization, began their pre-International Women’s Day celebrations with a demonstration about America’s “Mexico City Policy,” commonly referred to as the Global Gag Rule. The Gag Rule forbids any foreign nongovernmental organization (NGO) that provides or promotes education about abortion, or abortion-related activities, from receiving U.S. family-planning funds or technical assistance.
