Kaibigan, Northwestern's Filipino student association, put on Fil-Anthropy 2008, its first ever philanthropic event, featuring performances by dance groups on campus and a spoken word piece by Communication students. The show drew 90 attendees and raised about $500 to be donated to the Pagtinabangay Foundation, a Filipino organization aimed at improving education in the Philippines.
