Newspapers across South Florida are forming a news service with Florida International University’s journalism school. The organization will be called “South Florida News Service” and will offer students’ work to all of the member newspapers, including the Miami Herald and the Sun Sentinel. The papers’ editors say that this will allow students to get involved first-hand in the changing media world. “At a time when the news business is evolving every day, we can think of no better partners than the college students who will shape the media of the future,” say the participating papers’ editors.
