Food for Fines

Looking for a service program to institute on campus? An article from St. John’s explains that school’s Food for Fines program, which was started at St. John’s by members of the library staff. The program forgives library fines for overdue books that students return with a food donation. According to the school’s circulations supervisor, the fall drive collected 1,100 food items, and canceled over $2300 in late fines.
