Free Tuition for Disadvantaged

The Higher Education Opportunity Program (HEOP) helps students with below-average SAT scores to attend college if their scores were influenced by their family’s financial situation. The program finds students with discrepancies between their high school average (85 or higher) and test scores (a critical reading score of less than 620) in order to help good students whose finances interfered with their chances to succeed. Funding for the program will go up 5% next year.
