From Hollywood to the Motor City

Students at the University
of Southern California
have launched a project to help economically disadvantaged communities,
highlight modern segregation, and create a philanthropic network on college
campuses. The students, who began the
project as an assignment for a course on leadership, chose to begin in Detroit because it
exhibited the clearest example of economic and racial segregation.
