Girls Gone Wild

University of Kansas women protested the presence of Girls Gone Wild on and near the University campus (GGW did not have permission to be on campus). The protesters, who are with the organization Women’s Place, say that Girls Gone Wild promotes disrespect toward women. (If you aren’t sure why someone might think that, we beg you to go directly to the women’s studies department of your college or university). Women’s Place works to promote awareness of violence and disregard for women. They plan to be highly visible during Sexual Assault Awareness Month, also known as March.
