Harvard Professors' Pay to be Linked with Teaching

Harvard professors frustrated that the University marginalizes good teaching are being heard. The Task Force on Teaching and Career Development launched a concrete measure to change teaching culture for students and teachers alike. Several changes are proposed, including more documentation on teaching ability during hiring and promotions, and pushing professors to visit each other’s courses and share teaching materials. There is hope the changes will better engage students in classes and create an improved classroom environment.
