In honor of The American Heart Association’s Wear Red Day, held annually on February 1st to promote heart health as part of American Heart Month, the University of Rochester and the University of Indiana held events to promote healthy hearts. The University of Rochester’s Student Health Advisory Committee (URSHAC) organized their own Wear Red Day, in addition to sponsoring a talk by one of the university’s cardiologists. URSHAC also received support from the Alphi Phi Sorority, who held a heart-healthy lunch, in addition to a handful of other campus organizations, including Dining Services, Coca-Cola, and Well-U, the university’s employee wellness program.
