Students at Denver University have the opportunity to volunteer at a career fair for the homeless, which is expected to draw up to 1,000 homeless people to the DU campus. The fourth annual Project Homeless Connect (PHC) will be held in April, sponsored by Denver University, the city of Denver, and Mile High United Way. The program pairs every homeless person in attendance with a volunteer escort; that escort helps attendees to navigate the services offered at the fair, which include medical care, housing services, job interviews, and education information. Daycare is provided for mothers, and haircuts and toiletries are also offered.
