The International Club of Bates College turned their annual dinner into a fundraiser this year, raising money for two charities started and run by other Bates College students. VietAbroader (a nonprofit started by two Bates seniors in order to provide Vietnamese students with the training and support they need for admission to selective U.S. colleges) and Eagles Breakaway (a website where younger students can learn from current or former college students how they overcame obstacles like language barriers or poverty) shared the proceeds from the dinner.
