With the exception of Canadian students, Washington State University requires all non-immigrant international students to purchase University Student Medical Insurance. Waivers are available, but only for those who can find alternate plans with equal or better coverage. WSU’s International Student Council is calling on the University to adjust the policy for international students, citing difficulty and high costs.
