It’s Report Card Time!

The Sustainable Endowments Institute just issued College Sustainability Report Cards to 100 colleges across the U.S. and Canada, evaluating their greening practices and endowment policies. The highest cumulative sustainability rating was an A–, which was earned by Harvard University, Stanford University, Dartmouth College, and Williams College. Of the remaining schools, 22 earned a B grade, 54 (including Northeastern) earned a C, and 20 (including USC) earned a D. Folks at Northeastern point out (and fairly enough) that some people are working very hard toward sustainability, but campus greening still has a ways to go.
