KissOut Promotes All-Inclusive Valentine’s Day

30 Penn State students participated in the fourth annual KissOut to draw campus attention to the hetero-normative nature of Valentine's day. After passing out flyers explaining the KissOut's purpose, a group gathered outside the main student center and shouted "Happy Valentine's Day," prompting couples – gay and straight – to publicly kiss. The event was held to highlight privileges straight individuals enjoy every day, such as enjoying other public displays of affection without fear of discrimination.
