Mentoring is big in this week’s news, with articles from Bates College and the University of Georgia both devoting coverage to programs. At Bates College, the Class of ‘07 is devoting their Senior Gift to starting a peer-mentoring program on campus, with the goal of helping to foster diversity on campus. At the University of Georgia, students are turning their attentions to public school children with a mentoring program that pairs college students with K-12ers from the Athens-Clarke County Schools.
