In an attempt to demonstrate that race is socially constructed (rather than a biological fact), students in Boston University’s group Hug Don't Hate have arranged for their fellow students to use the Human Race Machine. The machine uses digital morphing technology to show people what their faces would look like in six “races” (Asian, black, Hispanic, Indian, white and Middle Eastern). About 200 BU students have taken advantage of the machine so far.
