Nebraska’s Student Voice

Politicians
who listen to students have been few and far between, right? But the
Association of Students of the University of Nebraska (ASUN) has a
committee—called the Government Liaison Committee (GLC)—dedicated to
representing student interests and concerns to the governing bodies of the city
and state. This past midterm election, the GLC brought candidates to campus,
creating opportunities for students to voice their concerns on important
issues. The also worked to educate their student body on legislation that might
negative affect the student body.
