The U.S. again revoked the visas of three Palestinian Fulbright Scholarship recipients after officials recently had them reinstated. U.S. officials had traveled to the Gaza border in June to process the three students’ visas because the students were otherwise unable to obtain them under the Hamas and Israeli governments. The visas were revoked when State Department officials received “new information” about the students that caused security concerns. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has ordered a thorough review of the Fulbright scholarship selection process in the wake of the cancellations.
