Students for Sensible Drug Policy at the University of Maryland are accusing University Police of overstepping bounds after an officer attempted to join SSDP’s Facebook group under an assumed name (Facebook staff have since cancelled the police officer's account after finding the officer violated the social networking site's terms of service). Many—including the Editorial Board of the Diamondback—share concerns over the incident, ranging from worries of guilt-by-association presumption borne out of Facebook-group peeping to concerns about undercover tactics being used on the student body.
