Pledge and Plunge

As part of a fundraiser, Special Olympics members and supporters showed up to cheer for Northwestern University students who jumped into Lake Michigan, raising over $40,000.  The students received pledge donations to plunge into partially-frozen Lake Michigan. Although the students didn't stay too long in the water – at the risk of catching pneumonia – the money they raised for the Special Olympics  will be put towards the Track and Field Games this spring.
