Political Student Groups Get Funding

Date: 11/17/2008 05:28 pm

The Student Senate at the University of Notre Dame has passed a resolution allowing the three political campus groups, the College Republicans, the College Democrats and the College Libertarians, to use their school funding to support their presidential candidates this fall. Under the new resolution, the clubs will be able to hand out promotional materials and hang up signs around campus. The amendment also allows the groups to fund transportation to political rallies. The amendment was passed after the College Republicans were recently forced to use their own money to attend a McCain-Palin rally in Michigan.
