Students at the University of Delaware are creating and conducting a survey called the Blue Hen Poll 2008 – the first student opinion poll created by students on campus. The poll is aimed at gauging student stances on a variety of important issues, and the creators hope it will continue annually as a way to track changes in student opinion. With the help of the Washington Post, students at American University created a similar survey of young voters in battle ground states of Ohio, Florida, Colorado and Virginia which found that young voters ranked the economy as the most important issue in the upcoming election.
