The Princeton Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) invited the Senior
Vice President of PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) to campus
as part of their campaign to raise animal rights awareness. The two groups
co-sponsored a Meat Is Murder protest display, as students smeared their bodies
with stage blood and lay under plastic in an attempt to simulate packaged meat.
In an associated event, PETA’s Senior VP gave a talk in which he discussed
PETA’s tactical choices, including how and why they’re made.
