Providing Medical Care in the Developing World

Students and professors from George Washington University traveled to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to assess the community’s medical needs. Students for International Medical Action (SIMA) and the Ronald Reagan Institute of Emergency Medicine planned the trip. Three years after graduating from Dartmouth College, Milton Ochieng and his brother Fred are opening up a clinic in their native town of Lwala, Kenya. Milton was first inspired to build the clinic while on a cross-cultural trip to Nicaragua, where he worked to build a women and children’s clinic with 30 other Dartmouth students.
