Putting a Face on Illegal Immigration

“Jacqueline,” a recent graduate of the University of Maryland and undocumented immigrant, faces uncertain times due to her “illegal” status.  The Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors Act, a bill originally proposed in 2001, would give young people who were taken illegally into the U.S. amnesty, based on the idea that they were not able to give their consent and so cannot be considered at fault for their status. “Jacqueline's” story puts a face to the debate.
