Race (and Religion) Matters

Several student groups at the University of Pennsylvania have spoken out against alleged racial profiling by the Division of Public Safety, which detained a black student last week; the groups call the act just the latest in a series of profiling incidents. Two fraternities at the University of South Carolina—Alpha Phi Alpha and Sigma Alpha Epsilon—hosted a forum on race relations how they can be improved at the University. The Islamic Society of Boston University sponsored a discussion where about 50 students and faculty shared their experiences with discrimination in America.
