Religion on the Rise

Campus articles continue to focus on issues of spirituality and religion this week, reporting both on general trends and specific groups. A Pitt News article from the University of Pittsburgh examines the growing trend of spiritual students, and the increasing involvement of students in spiritual groups. The students of New York University’s Islamic Center are searching for a prayer space. The IC is currently located in the basement of the Catholic Center, but the Catholic Center building is currently on the market to be sold—causing many at the Islamic Center to worry about their future. The IC has raised funds to find another location, but so far their search has yet to bear fruit.
