The American Council of Education released its 23rd annual status report on the diversification of American universities. The report states that this is the first year since World War II that adults are not more highly educated than the previous generation. Although white and Asian-American students are surpassing the generations before them, the gaps lie mainly within other minority groups. Experts say that these scores signal a turning point in our nation’s history and alarm bells should be signaled.
