Date: 11/17/2008 05:28 pm

Campuses are abuzz with the news of the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) college crackdown. Students caught downloading music or other programs illegally at Ohio University will lose their Internet access and will face possible referral to judiciaries for a first offense. Ohio University was identified by the RIAA last week as being the top offender in illegal downloading among colleges and universities in the United States, with Purdue University, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, the University of Tennessee and the University of South Carolina rounding out the top five. The University of Massachusetts considers its place as number six on the offenders list.
