RIAA pursues student downloaders

The Recording Industry Association of America continues to
send “pre-litigation” letters to college campuses, including IP addresses
accused of illegally downloading music, asking universities to identify the
responsible students.  Once identified,
students are given a choice – settle now for several thousand dollars or go to
court.  As more campuses are considering
whether to comply, the Daily Pennsylvanian and Daily Nebraskan explore how
their and other campuses are reacting.
